Crayon Taps Product Veteran Claire Vo for its Board of Directors
Vo Brings Strong Mix of Entrepreneurial and Product Expertise to Competitive Intelligence Leader’s Board
BOSTON, MA, April 6, 2022 – Crayon, the competitive intelligence backbone for mid-market and enterprise businesses, today announced the addition of Claire Vo to its board of directors. Vo brings a wealth of product and engineering leadership as well as experience scaling B2B businesses from over 15 years as a founder, company-builder, and executive at high-growth companies including Optimizely and Color.
Vo currently serves as the Chief Product Officer for healthcare technology company Color which has raised $378 million to date. She leads the company’s engineering, product, design, and analytics teams, building infrastructure to deliver essential healthcare services capable of improving outcomes across large populations. At such a pivotal time for the healthcare industry, Vo continues to guide the company through expansive growth.
Prior to her time at Color, Vo was the CEO and Founder of Experiment Engine, which she sold to Optimizely in 2017. Vo ultimately became the company’s Chief Product Officer, where she oversaw product, design, and technical partnerships for the flourishing business in scale-up mode.
“It’s clear why Crayon leads the competitive intelligence category – their exceptional product offering coupled with a talented team are driving companies to adopt a competitive intelligence solution,” said Vo. “Every business can benefit from competitive intelligence and those who don’t embrace it today risk getting left behind tomorrow. I’m energized by the opportunity to work alongside Crayon’s leadership team as they continue to win through product innovation and raise the profile of competitive intelligence as a must-have capability for every business.”
“We are honored to welcome an amazing product leader like Claire to Crayon’s board of directors,” said Jonah Lopin, Founder & CEO of Crayon. “With her deep expertise and history of success building great products at hyper-growth companies, Claire is the ideal board member for Crayon as we continue to triple down on product innovation as the key to the long-term success of our customers.”
On top of Crayon’s strong product offering, the company was ranked a leader by Forrester and named the leader of competitor intel tools for two consecutive years by the PMA Pulse, the Product Marketing Alliance's official stamp of approval on the top solutions in the market for product marketers across the globe. Vo’s appointment to the board closely follows the hiring of Erica Jenkins as the company’s Chief Product Officer, further deepening Crayon’s strong talent bench. It also comes at a time of tremendous momentum as the company celebrated its $22 million Series B financing and exceeded 500 customers in 2021.
